About the Academy
Over the last 15 years, our development efforts have increasingly focused on empowering the next generation of steelpan players and, in pursuit of this objective, we have designed and delivered music literacy and related training programmes targeting the youth of our immediate community and the wider Caribbean diaspora.The birdsong Academy was founded in 2004 to serve this purpose.

To register with the birdsong Academy, there are two options: in person or by email.

In PERSON, you can come into our office at the panyard and register with us. We will help you fill out all the forms needed to be a part of the Academy.

If you prefer to EMAIL, follow these steps:
  1. Decide on which instruments you would like to play.
  2. Call the office for scheduling information and any other important information.
  3. Download out the Registration Form & Policy Form from the links below and click "Save". Save the document to a place where you can easily find it.

  4. Fill out the Registration Form, read the Policy Form and save it to your computer.
  5. Then send us an email (info@birdsongtt.org) and attach the Registration Form to your email (call us if you need help with this). In the title space of your email include the student's name and "REGISTRATION." We will call or email you to confirm this registration. Any incomplete registration forms will be returned.

Who's Who
The birdsong Academy tutors are amongst the best in the country, and have active professional careers. All have extensive experience of working with, inspiring and building the confidence of child and adult players, learners and late starters.
