birdsong is an unsponsored, self-financing steel orchestra. Over the years, band projects have been able to raise a significant percentage of the funds needed for its maintenance. Projects have included raffles, bingos, barbecues, sale of advertising space, public fetes and steelband concerts and the operation of a canteen. Timely contributions from Government and the generosity of the business community supplement shortfalls in the budget.
